Our friends over at Ponoko have created something special, and we’re proud to be a part of it. With the launch of Personal Factory 5, Ponoko also introduced the Personal Factory API. This is an amazing innovation that puts the power to create “real” things in the hands of web developers all around the world.
Here at CircuitPeople.com, we decided that this convenience is a real game changer and we’re madly working on incorporating the API into our viewer technology. The first thing we want to do it make front panel design and ordering way, way simpler. Using your gerber files (or EAGLE file) we will automatically generate a rough front panel design. From there, you’ll be able to customize it and then order it in just a couple clicks.
We’re not (quite) ready for public beta, but if you’re the type that just can’t wait to be a part of the next big thing, we’ll put you in the queue for alpha access. All we ask is that you be helpful and tolerant of our experimentation (we’re not 100% sure how this will work out, and you’ll be a part of shaping it).
